1/12th Stock Car World Champion

Congratulations to Ian Johnson of Bandit Racing on winning the 1/12^th Stock Car World Championship.

From 3^rd on the grid he fought a hard, but clean final, to lead Ben Harding across the line by 2.2 seconds, with a shriek of delight.

1^st - Ian Johnson - 93 laps
2^nd - Ben Harding - 93 laps
3^rd - Karl Spencer - 92 laps
4^th - Clive Buckler - 92 laps
5^th - Matt Bennett - 89 laps
6^th - Roy Calver - 89 laps
7^th - Gary McMullen - 88 laps
8^th - Paul Jenkinson - 87 laps

Well done to all the drivers who took part.

Other club members also featured well in the weekend’s proceedings. Phil Chadbourne and Alex Wood both made it to the Semi Finals, (Alex finishing 2^nd in the Junior Championship). Danielle Chadbourne driving very well, just failed to make it to the quarter finals, as did Allan Inness.

And a big thanks to Lee Bishop for helping the 5 racers throughout the weekend.

Hathern also won the “Best Club Display Stand” award.
