1/12th Stock Car World Champion

 

 

Congratulations to Ian Johnson of Bandit Racing on winning the 1/12th Stock Car World Championship.

From 3rd on the grid he fought a hard, but clean final, to lead Ben Harding across the line by 2.2 seconds, with a shriek of delight.

2nd - Ben Harding      - 93 laps
3rd - Karl Spencer      - 92 laps
4th - Clive Buckler      - 92 laps
5th - Matt Bennett       - 89 laps
6th - Roy Calver          - 89 laps
7th - Gary McMullen   - 88 laps
8th - Paul Jenkinson - 87 laps

 

Well done to all the drivers who took part.

 

Other club members also featured well in the weekend’s proceedings.  Phil Chadbourne and Alex Wood both made it to the Semi Finals,  (Alex finishing 2nd in the Junior Championship).  Danielle Chadbourne driving very well, just failed to make it to the quarter finals, as did Allan Inness.

 

And a big thanks to Lee Bishop for helping the 5 racers throughout the weekend.

 

Hathern also won the “Best Club Display Stand” award.
